through the woods, up the hill, past the flowers and the cows

we'll go back to the present, at least for today since i have my phone back and got some pictures...

of william and greg patching william's back tire this morning...

william was the first up today at 6:00.  dressed, teeth brushed, and told his dad he wanted to go to the morning "SFO," which is the before- and after-school program, though we never use the before part of it, so we usually only think of it as an after-school thing.  but we pay for it and so the morning part is available to him.  however the flat tire prevented an early departure.  there's always tomorrow.

greg was home early today and so we walked together to get henry (william was at a play date).

through the woods...

up the hill...

past the flowers...

and the cows...

hello there!

you can see the weather wasn't exactly cheery and it's been that way since late sunday afternoon...

when we were at the barbecue with some of greg's co-workers on sunday (the one where i forgot my bag), as the weather went from a beautiful, sunny day to cold, gray, and windy, someone joked, "summer ended five minutes ago."  and it was funny, but it also seemed like it could be true.  what if it was true?  what if that was it?  well... we'd trudge on... and, guess what... the sun did come out a little today, because look...

henry's shading his eyes at the park on the way home, and there are shadows...

yay for summer coming back!

trying it all out...

greg got some pictures of me trying to figure out how to best get leverage for the monkey bars...

sitting in this case seems to be the way to get started...

henry gets just about as far as i do...

squinty-eyed... must be sunny out...

must be...
